Hello.

I just ran a test, and I get a similair behaviour on my system. I don't
get any warnings though, but if I set the buffer to 371ms, I get this:

** WARNING **: Unable to install hw params

and no sound is played. Also, if I change the buffer without restarting
xmms, I get the fast play problem (seems like a stream remains open)

Anything below 371 is played with distortion (sounds like very fast
stereo swaps)

So, what's so special about 371ms?
