[Pan-users] Marking messages as read

I have just about come to grips with my conversion from Agent newsreader
(my last bastion of old Windows use) to all things Pan. Nice program BTW.

However, there is one thing I could do in Agent that I just cannot figure
out how to do in Pan.

I like to read messages in batches, so I used to download all headers for
my 50+ groups of choice, then browse the headers and mark all the articles
I want to read in this session or batch. That's all easy enough in Pan.
The thing that Agent does that I really like though is that, having marked
all the headers I want - in all groups - I could tell Agent (with one
icon click) to go and collect all the message bodies for those
marked messages only (all at once) and, importantly, when collecting the
bodies it marked all the other mesages as read.

The really nice thing about this was that I could then move through the
groups with one key (read next unread message). The assumption was that if
I had not marked the message header, then I did not want to read the
message. This is so right & logical.

With Pan however, I can find no keyboard way to simply read only the
downloaded messages, ignoring the others.

There are some things I have not found very logical in Pan so I may be
just missing something that in fact is offerred. Any guidance would be
appreciated.

Paul.
