The configuration options are exactly the same I had with the old version that came with SuSE 9.0... or is it a bug with the SuSE-distributed version? It works for me on a newly installed SUSE 9.1 (32bit), so in case it is a bug with my packaging, that bug does not look trivial.Stupid question: What filesystem are you using? Since my $HOME is located on a NFS share and I did not yet try with a local home, this can easily be the difference that matters.
Funnily enough, it works for me at home (where I did a fresh install), but it still doesn't on the office machine (where I upgraded). Both boxes use Reiserfs, the home machine on an 80GB SATA disk, the office one an old 20GB IDE. The home machine is a 2.66GHz PIV, the office box is an old 866MHz PIII
Could it be something to do with the upgrade? I should probably try uninstalling, removing the .pan directory by hand and reinstalling from scratch. I know it's Windows-ish, but maybe... :)
