Uninstalling the gtk 2.2 runtime, and installing the new gtk 2.8 runtime,
is required.  Once you've done that, though, pan.exe itself doesn't need
any installation -- just download it and go.

Right now I'd say the 0.9x betas are most aimed at testers.  Since 0.9x
is an entire rewrite, it's (currently) much less stable than 0.14.x.
