Yeah, yeah. That's the kind of comment I got when I
reported this problem earlier. But I didn't "fail to
realize" anything. Pan changed my 8 back to 4. It doesn't
do that any more. I just now, as an experiment, quit Pan,
changed the max from 8 to 20, and started Pan up again. It's
still 20, and evidently Pan honored my request to change the
max, because I saw "Tasks: 13/33" in the task bar when I
asked it to read headers for all my subscribed groups.
