Indeed; I *thought* I recalled you being in on the earlies
incarnation, but couldn't find the thread again. Much renewed thanks!

Hmm ... One of my machines now has a special panel drawer, with
launchers for all the terminals I could find. When I get around to
snooping among them, I believe I'll start with xterm. Does it also do
colors??
The end result is vastly improved. I'll try to remember to clone
it onto all machines, even if I have to type it into each by hand. No,
wait! Here it is : xterm -e -fn 9x15 -sb alpine -url %s -- now I can c&p
from Pan on each machine into the Preferred Apps. (Ought I to re-arrange
the sequence of flags? I thought I saw a caveat somewhere about the
position of -e -- but this works ...)
