It is unclear where you what this. Is it in the program or in the examples?

column in not standard on:

hpux-ia64.p /usr/local/bin/bash: column: command not found
aix.p /opt/freeware/bin/bash: column: command not found
hpux.p /usr/local/bin/bash: column: command not found
scosysv.p /bin/bash: column: command not found
unixware.p UX:sh (/bin/sh): ERROR: column: Not found
solaris-x86.p /usr/bin/bash: column: command not found
qnx.p /bin/sh: column: cannot execute - No such file or directory
openindiana.p /usr/bin/bash: column: command not found
solaris.p /bin/bash: column: command not found
tru64.p /usr/local/bin/bash: column: command not found

So it would have to be optional to run column, but it could be a tip
along the lines of the tip converting dates to ISO-8601 (in the
--joblog section).
