parallel makes ffmpeg output files names garbled

Hello GNU parallel subscribers,

I tried GNU parallel 20161222 on Ubuntu 20.04 to ffmpeg multiple video files and output file names renamed by parallel to sequences of corresponding unicode byte codes I guess.

Did I mis-used {.} and {+.} or what I did wrong.

e.g.

1. input files names with Japanese characters.
