Hi,

You can start running the software just by typing
"partysip" on the command line i.e. on the # prompt.
There is no graphical output when u run it, it doesn't
display any message. It just starts the SIP Proxy
server, waiting for connections from SIP clients....

In order to get it running, you need 2 SIP clients,
may be Linphone or MSN Messenger or any other such SIP
User Agent. If u have 2 extra PCs, well and good. But
u may even test it with one PC. You may run, partysip
in one terminal window (or Shell), your 1st instance
of linphone in another terminal window, and then
another instance of linphone on another PC. Because
executing 2 instances of linphone on the same PC, does
create some problems. I tried doing it, I could see
messages like the "sip:address@hidden is calling
you..." then u can answer the call, and the status on
both the instances of linphone changes to "Connected".
But nothing more than that, no sound, probably
because both of them would be trying to use the same
sound device at the same time.

But, u can certainly work around this possibility.
Make the necessary changes in partysip.conf file and
then try out.

Hope it helps.
