that is correct. i also adjusted it to create default pages for each 
category (same title as cat name). not sure how to handle multiple pages 
at the same level. also, need to figure out how to handle page links 
embedded within pages.  the only real interesting part of this is the 
recursive nature of the menu creation, such that adding new categories 
will be shown on the menu at the proper level.
