A simple integration Anglemail-S/MIME is available at:
ftp://ftp.prosa.it/pub/projects/phpgroupware/patch-anglemail-smime.tgz
It requires the "pki" module (see http://www.prosa.it/projects/projects).
I'm not sure there are no side effects but it is possible to send and
receive
signed/encrypted email. The module pki now can import PKCS#12,
at least "simple" PKCS#12 (just certificate+ca+private key).
