Hi,

It is resolved.

Warnings/errors are enabled in the php.ini.  There were no errors.  The logs did
show I had opened the addressbook.  The permissions and ownership hadn't 
changed.

I ended up deleting the addressbook folder and pulling a new one from CVS.  It 
works
now.  I wish it had occurred to me earlier to tar it up and send it to somebody 
that
knows this stuff.  Maybe they could have seen what broke.
