Bitwise math is a little tricky since you have to remeber to convert the decimal
numbers to binary to get the correct answer.  Because of this, the existence of 
two
integers does not always = True (it depends on what the integers represent in 
binary)

There are resources and examples of this logic scattered throughout the internet

I find I always need to review the concept before I can understand what is 
beging
done.  If you are posting a patch, maybe you could add a comment for this line.
