[Phpgroupware-developers] synchronization support for phpGW: milestone 1

Hi,

in the last weeks we had good progress with working on synchronization
support for phpGW. Today we reached our milestone 1: our test SyncML
device authorized with phpGW correctly. In more detail:

- we created the new module sync which includes some helping functions
and testcases for authorization an database view (layer 3)

- with the help of the IPC classes from Dirk Schaller we implemented
layer 4, the interface between our sync module and the XML-RPC
interface

- a special package written in Java extends some of the Syn4j classes
to use a XML-RPC interface for communication with phPGW (layer 5)

All source code is in CVS module "sync". The Java source code is in
directory ./sync4j including a precompiled package.

We start now with milestone 2 ("one-way sync from client only") and
keep you informed.
