Is there a chance to get ACL2 into the API ? I have this implemented in the app 
'property' ? and find it a major enhancement to the standard ACL.

The UI shows right, mask and result
Inheritance is saved to the database (both permissions and grants - rights and 
mask).
If one have admin-access, one can grant per group (from preferences).
The locations is stored in the table 'fm_acl_location'
One can only grant locations that is marked for 'allow_grant' in 
'fm_acl_location'
To try it ? install property (into HEAD ? or 0.9.16.008 with the xslt-patch ) - 
navigate to admin->property->permissions

If one choose the location '.invoice' and the category 'users'  - one can 
assign additional three roles within the location targeting rights of approval 
for payment

The Admin can force granting pr group and users in preferences->property->Grant 
Access
