Hi guys,
Have you tried using anglemail (a drop in rpelacement for the stock phpgw mail
client), you can download it from http://www.anglemail.com/
Let me know if this makes any difference.
Cheers
=================== BUG #370: FULL BUG SNAPSHOT ===================
Submitted by: None Project: phpGroupWare
Submitted on: 2002-May-09 10:22
Category: email Bug Group: 0.9.14 RC3
Severity: 5 - Major Priority: None
Resolution: None Assigned to: seek3r
Status: Open Component Version: None
Platform Version: Linux - RedHat Reproducibility: Every Time
Summary: Clicking email icon causes httpd to hit 100% CPU usage until killed
Original Submission: When I log in and click the email icon, the screen never
redraws -- watching 'top' shows imapd running for a few seconds, then a httpd
process uses 100% CPU time until I kill it. Often, after killing one httpd
process, another one rises up to take its place.
This seems to be related to having a long (13 characters) imap password. The
email app worked when I changed my password to 8 characters.

We had 100% CPU time while testing with large file attachments (larger than 3
MB), too. (see Bug 439).
