Summary:  Felamimail generates Imap errors and can't open INBOX

Original Submission:  A phpGroupWare install on up2date RedHat 7.3 w/ 
imap-2001a-10 rudely aborts with the following error messages in the web 
browser:

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid imap resource in 
/home/www/intranet.lanvision.nl/html/phpgroupware/felamimail/inc/class.bofelamimail.inc.php
 on line 294

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid imap resource in 
/home/www/intranet.lanvision.nl/html/phpgroupware/felamimail/inc/class.bofelamimail.inc.php
 on line 334

Warning: Supplied argument is not a valid imap resource in 
/home/www/intranet.lanvision.nl/html/phpgroupware/felamimail/inc/class.bofelamimail.inc.php

In /var/log/maillog the following error is logged:

Dec 13 14:28:00 ngn02 imapd[23394]: imap service init from 127.0.0.1
Dec 13 14:28:00 ngn02 imapd[23394]: Command stream end of file, while reading 
line user=??? host=UNKNOWN

In other words, felamimail won't work as advertised.
