Tom is busy moving this month:

and since he is Pika's main designer, things have been slow here
lately. Note though, that I'm just going by the list traffic -- so if
the people who actually code stuff have been getting together on IRC
or something, things might not be so slow afterall.
Also note that at the bottom of Tom's message, he says:
And, I expect that in May, I'll also be able to "go apeshit" on
progress on Pika.
