I have no time/energy for this atm, cc:ing last interested people I know of.
Taking over Planet GNU can and should be done without my involvement.

Hi Sylvain,

I hope you're doing well :)

Would you please update my feed's address from
https://shemshak.org/~bandali/notes.atom to https://bndl.org/notes.atom
and my homepage from https://shemshak.org/~bandali to https://bndl.org
when you get a chance?

That said, I recently saw a post on your blog.beuc.net about looking for
a new host and maintainer for the Planet. Is the Planet currently
hosted on one of your machines or is it on an FSF-provided VM?

I also remembered our brief chat about the future of Planet GNU and the
Planet Venus software in general. Do you know if anyone from the Debian
community has stepped up to maintain and/or port it to Python 3 yet?
If I'm not mistaken, Planet Debian also uses Venus? I saw in your blog
post that you mentioned that you'd probably shut down Planet GNU soon
after bullseye is out. Do you know what would happen to Planet Debian?
Will it have a similar fate?

If your plan/decision for shutting down Planet GNU is imminent, I'd like
to volunteer to take over hosting/maintaining it at least for a while
after bullseye out. I think it would make sense for me to host/maintain
it for a while, e.g. as long as buster receives security updates. Then,
in that time I'd look into either porting Venus to Python 3 or switching
to another Planet software (including the possibility of writing a
simple one from scratch).

I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

Best,
amin
