Dear Readers,
I use Red hat Linux as my host OS (RedHat 7.3 Kernel: 2.4.18-3) on a x86
platform. (P3-900 Mhz, 64 MB ram)
I try loading Linux with a boot floppy having the same kernel image
version mentioned above. Please refer the following lines which are a
part of my config file.
************************************************************************
plugin = ./plugins/bochs/plugin-bochs.so
bochs-opt boot: a
bochs-opt floppya: 1_44="/dev/fd0", status=inserted
#bochs-opt diskc: file="/dev/fd0", cyl=20, heads=16, spt=23
************************************************************************
Installation of Guest linux OS from the bootable floppy crashes,
following is the snapshot from the terminal window
************************************************************************
[HD] <INFO> device set to 0 which does not exist.
[HD] <INFO> device set to 1 which does not exist.
[DEV] <INFO> A20 now1
[FDD] <INFO> increment_sector:clamping cylinder to max
[FDD] >>PANIC<<< io:now r/w parms out of range : sec#01h cyl#50h eot#%02 hea

Shutting down plugins
[XGUI] <INFO> Exit

Tearing down VM
Closing VM
************************************************************************
I read the earlier messages in the mailing list but i dont seem to have
any info regarding the errors
im getting here.
Please throw some light on this.
Thanks in anticipation,
