Hi John.

     src/crc.pk | 53 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If this is a pickle, it should go to pickle/ instead of src/.

If otherwise we add this function as a standard function (I think that
makes sense) then the variables and functions should go in src/std.pk.

    +defun crc32_update = (uint<32> crc, byte[] buf) uint<32>:
    + defvar c = crc as uint<32>;
    + for (x in buf)
    +   {
    +     c = crc32_table[(c ^ x) & 0xff] ^ (c .>> 8);
    +   }
    + return c;

Is this crc32_update function useful by itself? If not, I would have it
defined inside crc32_cal, called `update'.

    +defun crc32_calc = (byte[] buf) uint<32>:
    + return crc32_update (0xffffffffU, buf) ^ 0xffffffffU;

I would call the function that calculates the crc32 just crc32.
