Running 'configure' creates a file jitter/test.o. "make clean" removes it.
But it should not be left after configuration in the first place.
Here is a proposed patch. Also, name the file 'conftest.o': by convention,
all temporary files created by autoconf test should fit the pattern 'conftest*'.
