I suspect you did "cvs update" but not "cvs update -d". The
latter is necessary to get the new config/psfonts directory.

Thanks. You were right.

Now it builds and installs OK.

But when I try to use the postscript driver I get:

address@hidden:~/PSPP/pspp$ ./src/ui/terminal/pspp -vvvvv -o list-ps foo.sps
note: Searching for `rc'...
note: - /home/res/jmd/.pspp/rc
note: - /usr/local/etc/pspp/rc
note: Search unsuccessful!
note: Searching for `devices'...
note: - /home/res/jmd/.pspp/devices
note: Found `/home/res/jmd/.pspp/devices'.
note: Searching for `psfonts/Courier.afm'...
note: - /home/res/jmd/.pspp/psfonts/Courier.afm
note: - /usr/local/etc/pspp/psfonts/Courier.afm

./src/ui/terminal/pspp: could not find AFM file "Courier.afm"
/home/res/jmd/.pspp/devices:67: installation error: Can't initialize output
        driver `list-ps' of class `postscript'.
warning: No output drivers are active.
note: Using default output driver configuration.
note: foo.sps: Opening as syntax file.

and the resulting pspp.ps file comprises:

%%Trailer
%%Pages: 0
%%EOF
