Dear All,

After some months of hard work (and some days of hard fighting with the
robot TP ;) now you can enjoy the Catalan localization files (11'5 million
speakers in 18 countries) and the Spanish too (329 million speakers in 44
countries) [1]. Of course, this does NOT mean almost 350 million new PSPP
users, but the is expected that this effort will help expanding a bit the
user community and contribute to the application development.

At the moment both localization files (*. po) -version 0.7.2- should be
available at the TP textual domain
<http://translationproject.org/domain/pspp.html>. The wiki has now good and
updated instructions on how to add new languages to PSPP
<http://jstover.motd.org/cgi-bin/oddmuse.cgi/Localization_and_Translations>
both for Linux <http://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/get.html> and M$-Windoze
builds <http://pspp.michelboaventura.com/?page_id=128&lang=en>.
I appreciate very much the work of Xavier and Palmira with translation, the
support from coordinators Jordi and Santiago, and the comments from Ben,
John and Michel. Encouragement for those working with other languages!!!

Please, if you found that any aspect of these translations could be
improved, do not hesitate to let me know <address@hidden>.

Long live the PSPP.
F. J. Miguel
