I tried running the following syntax through the GUI.


data list list /alpha * beta * gamma *.
begin data.
1 2 3
4 5 6
end data.

list.



It crashed with the message:

psppire: src/data/procedure.c:321: proc_commit: Assertion `ds->proc_state == 
PROC_CLOSED' failed.

The same syntax works fine in the terminal mode.
