Hello,

Sorry about that, please find a pdf of the GUI chapter. I hope to be done today. I really have very little left to do with it, outside of inserting the images.

Regards,

Selma

Is the attached file the right one?  This is the first I've
looked at it, but there seem to be some important omissions, such
as the text

        DummyNode

use as a temp dummy node for all the ref commands until
        they get their proper names

at the beginning of the GUI chapter and a number of places where
there's just text that says "INSERT FIGURE" and "INSERT IMAGE".

I'll assume that you'll fix up those obvious bits, and keep
reading.

In the text here:

Launch the syntax editor from within the data editor by
        selecting File->Open->Syntax.

the File->Open->Syntax doesn't look quite the way I'd expect in a
Texinfo manual.  In the source, you should write this as
"@clicksequence{File @click{} Open @click{} Syntax}, to make it
look right in the output.

The text at the beginning of the chapter starts out quite
conversationally by introducing the main parts of the GUI.  I was
struck, then, when I arrived at section 4.2.3.1 "New Variable"
and found myself in what seemed to be a reference manual for the
GUI.  That has a place, certainly, but at that point I was
expecting something closer to a tutorial.

Some names of menus and menu items are listed in all lowercase,
in italics (e.g. /edit/).  I'd expect them to be written in a
Roman typeface in the same capitalization as used in the menu
(e.g. Edit).

The Enter key is usually written @key{RET} in GNU manuals.
@key{Enter} might be more user-friendly in this chapter.

Sections 4.2.3.7 "Clear Variables" and 4.2.3.8 "Clear Cases" have
a couple of bullets with no text of their own, only sub-bullets,
which looks odd.

That should give you some things to work on.  Obviously, I'll
keep looking as you continue to revise this.

Thanks,

Ben.
