I built the file with "make" instead, and believe I have gotten rid of all the errors. Let me know if you get any (file is attached).

I see.  Can you checkout the Git repository, add your work there, and build using the technique
described in README.Git  -  otherwise you are going to find it very hard to maintain the
documentation.
