problem compiling pspp on cygwin

Hi

 

When compiling pssp version 0.6 on my Cygwin installation I get the following message from make:

/usr/lib/gcc/i686-pc-cygwin/3.4.4/../../../../i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ld: cannot find -lpng
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [src/ui/terminal/pspp.exe] Error 1

Google learns me that lpng possibly means libpng. Libpng is installed twice, version 1.0 en 1.2. But a quick check didn't find a file or directory lpng on my cygwin installation. I guess this is an incompatability between cygwin en pspp.

 

I didn't check my suse installation, where pspp compiles fine, to find the difference between cygwin and suse yet.

 

Any known sollutions?
