Thanks John,

My question wasn't exactly about numbers but about likelihood the program will be around for awhile. I teach at a psychology department with a lot undergrads many of whom need to do stat analyses for different courses. The SPSS license sucks for them and an alternative is needed. I really like the idea of PSPP. However, the first analysis I tried to run was a basic regression analysis. The program did not put the DV into the variables list and so printed incorrect output! Perhaps that was a fluke but it made me wonder ("has anyone else ever run this program?") I don't want to be committed to a program with a lot of problems, not a lot of support, or which isn't going to be around next year.

All that said, I think this is a wonderful project and I am staying with it for now.

Chuck
