Apologies for hijacking the list, but anyone has an idea why this
shouldn't work (based on John's suggestion and the manual)?:

VALUE LABELS/a_jazyk_3_druh 1 'romsky_vlastni_rom' 2
'jina_romstina_olastina_rumungerstina' 3 'cesky' 4 'slovensky' 5
'madarsky' 6 'nemecky' 7 'anglicky' 8 'jiny_jazyk' 9 'rusky'
