Re: PSPP 0.8.4

Dear All,

I receive the same segfault on the Unity interface (but doesn't occur using the gnome-flashback session) any time the output window is due to be opened (occurs also when opening any file or when typing in data and running a frequency analysis for example)

(psppire:30393): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_cairo_create: assertion 'GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed

(psppire:30393): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_cairo_create: assertion 'GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed

I have attached the gdb output - there are no debugging symbols but if required I will install / set these up and try again.

Regards,
Adam Zammit

Dear All,

I can confirm this problem when logged in to Ubuntu 14.04 using the standard "Unity" session. But when logged in using the gnome-flashback session, the problem does not occur.

I'll look into the problem a bit further and see if a bug report / patch is required.

Adam Zammit

You guys are quick. :)

My attempts to switch locale ("export LANG=C") were unsuccessful as
well, so I decided to build from source.

After apt-get purging Adam's package, I installed from source and have
to report that I still get the same unpleasant segfaults when opening
.sav files:

(psppire:23648): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_cairo_create: assertion
'GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed
(psppire:23648): Gdk-CRITICAL **: IA__gdk_cairo_create: assertion
'GDK_IS_DRAWABLE (drawable)' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Any additional thoughts?

Cheers,
Johannes
