You can try my last patch for destroy "w2k inst disk full".
This patch have also:
1) support old gcc and glibc
2) remove debugging and make platform-specific
function aligned for make speed up (may be true for softmmu only)
3) remove strange (erronyous) code "-errno" from vl.c
4) close file from slirp/slirp.c (very small point, but..)
