If you take the file qemu-img.texi and look under "fmt" option, and
more precisely under "raw", you read:
Use "qemu-img info" to know the real size used by the
image or "ls -ls" on Unix/Linux.
Actually, on my system (Ubuntu 8.04, ext3 filesystem), "ls -ls" gives
the _fake_ size (the one reported as "virtual size" in qemu-img output).
I think this is a mistake, or maybe "ls"' behaviour is not so standard.
