Normally, u-boot will be store in the onenand is it possible to start it
from there with the current qemu implemention?
As example you can start the mips_r4k from the pflash by
1. Download u-boot.
2. make qemu_mips_config
3. create image:
# dd of=flash bs=1k count=4k if=/dev/zero
# dd of=flash bs=1k conv=notrunc if=u-boot.bin
4. start it:
# qemu-system-mips -M mips -pflash flash -monitor null -nographic
