I noticed that current vgabios (as shipped with
0.14.0-rc) does not work well with qemu-kvm-0.12,
despite very small changes in the source.
cirrus emulation works just fine. But with stdvga
(which uses "vgabios.bin" file in 0.12), X does not
start with the following message in X.org:
(WW) VESA(0): Unable to estimate virtual size
after which it assumes that all available video
modes does not work and finally fails.
I see Gerd (Cc'd) touched vgabios during 0.14 lifecycle --
can you take a look please?
It is not terrible important for 0.14 itself, but it'd
be very nice to have nice upgrade/rollback path for
distributions who has vgabios in separate package(s).
Thank you!
