you can install the ubuntu (either by apt-get or by "$./configure && make && make install")
then check whether the require core is supported by qemu using following command:
qemu-system-arm -M ?
It will list all the emulated machine by qemu.
In case you are doubtful about which machine is use, you can hit-n-trial each machine.
