There have been a lot of changes between 1.0.1 and now. To be honest,
as long as it works now, I don't feel like investing a lot of time for
finding out what exactly made it work.
If you _really_ care, you can clone the git repository and use 'git
bisect' to build and test revisions until you've found the one that made
it work. But I don't think that's a very productive work.
