*shrugs* I made the original decision because:

WARNING: Use of SDL 1.2 is deprecated and will be removed in
WARNING: future releases. Please switch to using SDL 2.0
compilers enabled for TCG tests:  'aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc' 
'arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc' 'cc' 'aarch64-linux-gnu-gcc' 
'arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc' 'cc'

offended my eye, but I'm happy either way really.
