Hi!
I'm currently testing how NVDIMM emulation works in qemu. On my host 
system(archlinux)
i've created two RAM disks the size of 4gb each via brd kernel module and 
passed them as memory backend for nvdimms.
On my guest, which is fedora 26, nvdimms have been properly detected by the 
nvdimm subsystem drivers.
Two separate regions have been created, since interleaving is not supported in 
qemu(am i right?).
Anyway, i can see the NFIT ACPI table in /sys/firmware/acpi/tables and all the 
drivers loaded. So far, everything look fine.

The problem is that when i try to create small namespace(128mb), creation 
succeeds on the one region and fails on another.
The command i use: ndctl create-namespace --mode memory --size 128m --map dev 
-r region1
I got this error: [ 3249.211340 ] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1286 at

Looks like adding memory has failed. Doing the same thing on another region 
works perfectly fine.

So i started digging into this, and found that memory mappings in /proc/iomem 
look a little bit strange.

340000000-43ffdffff : Persistent Memory <---- aligned
43ffe0000-53ffbffff : Persistent Memory <---- not aligned at all
I think this is what causes all these errors. I believe it's not about nvdimm 
drivers in kernel.

Is there any way to control the mappings when using nvdimms in qemu or maybe 
setting the offsets explicitly?
