I just double-checked the code in SLOF, and it should also be able to
deal with both, 8-byte and 6-byte MAC address properties, so from that
point of view, the change is OK.

But since there are still old kernels in the field (RHEL6 is using
2.6.32 for example), it's maybe better to play safe and only provide a
6-byte address property if bit #1 is set in the nicconf.macaddr array,
and provide an 8-byte property otherwise.
