[Qexo-general] string function in 1.7 beta1

Implementation of string function is giving some problems when I move from 1.6.99 to 1.7 version.

This is when I use string fn on attribute

 

Earlier

 

<book id=”book1”>

 

when I did (with 1.6.99)

string($book/@id)    ==>   “book1”

 

now (with 1.7)

string($book/@id)    ==>   “”

i.e. empty

 

Is this a bug?

If not, how do I query an attribute value?
