I don't know for sure, I use radiusplugin only for accounting and not auth, as far as I know you should write it somewhere near auth section, and I just use hardcoded value in radiusplugin for this.

Hi

Where exactly in the radiusd.conf on the radius server machine, do I
need to Add Acct-Interim-Interval=30 ?

 one of the listen { } ?

Thanks

You should set it in radius configuration, not in radiusplugin
configuration.

Hi Ralf

Acct-Interim-Interval=30
status /var/log/openvpn/status.log 1

The status.log is being updated every 30seconds, however the updates are
not sent to the freeradius server.

Only once the client disconnects does the freeradius server receive the
updates.

Hi,

is the update information updated frequently in your status file
/var/log/openvpn/status.log ?

Did you set the RADIUS attribute Acct-Interim-Interval , which is
required for
the plugin to update the accounting information regularly?

Not sure if this is a bug or a limitation of the openvpn
freeradius-plugin ( radiusplugin_v2.1a_beta1 )

The users current active session will not display any usage stats,
only
once the session is disconnected will the stats appear.

pptp and l2tp shows the session usage in near realtime
