Status: None => Wont Fix

Follow-up Comment #2:
The main advantage of rdiff-backup (IMHO) is that the mirror is, as much as
possible, a simple copy of the original file so that restoring is very easy.
We won't give up on this principle.
My suggestion is to place the backup on a compressing file system if it's
important to you.
