Because someone told me this wouldn't work, I had to do it and find out 
for myself...

The miniconda installer (version 0.7.3) for Red Hat 7.2,  with one minor 
change, will install the 7.3 distribution. The comps file on the updates 
disk has to be edited, and 'links' changed to 'elinks'. Once that is 
done, the install continues without issue. (The install will crash if the 
comps file isn't fixed.) Of course, the comps file isn't quite right, so 
the user is prompted to install additional packages to satisfy 
dependencies, but it does in fact install very nicely.

It even prompts for the third disk when needed. Not bad for an installer 
that was used for a 2 disk install. :)

I bring this up because the new anaconda is bigger, and probably will not 
install in 12M of RAM. (The initial ram disk is about 1M bigger, for one 
thing.)

So, like the subject says, "Hrmmm...."
