Tak Auyeung <address@hidden> described the package as follows:

Other License:
Package: Embedded-but-Open
System name: ebo
Type: 2
Description:
EbO (Embedded-but-Open) is a project that includes an GNU GPLed real-time
embedded system kernel and other modules that depend on the kernel. The kernel
currently supports multithreading, preemption, priority queues, synchronization
via semaphores and real-time scheduling. Supporting modules include an LCD
software driver, a keypad driver and some other misc. features. EbO is entirely
based on AVR-GCC, AVR-BINUTILS and AVR-LIBC (all GNU GPLed).
A release is not available yet, but all the basic modules are already being
used in real-life projects.
Other Software Required:
AVR-GCC (regular GCC compiled to avr target), AVR-BINUTILS (regular binutils
compiled to avr target) and AVR-LIBC. AVR-GDB is optional.
Other Comments:
The free software is somewhat supported by consulting projects.
