[Savannah-hackers] Error in CVS-FAQ

I have tried
http://savannah.gnu.org/faq/?group=savannah&question=How_do_I_import_my_project_into_the_CVS.txt
several times.

But the:

  cvs add dir

does not work. I get:

$ cvs add src ToPAS-files
? src/cvsmd5
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-123tkshop
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-7pages
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-9box
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-CVSROOT
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-a2ps
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-abiword
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-abtcheckers
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-ac-archive
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-acercade
...
? ToPAS-files/ToPAS-directory
Directory /cvsroot/topas/topas/src added to the repository
Directory /cvsroot/topas/topas/ToPAS-files added to the repository
$ cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
cvs commit: Examining ToPAS-files
cvs commit: Examining src
$

The commit does not upload the files. However this works:

  cvs add dir/*
  cvs commit

Maybe it is a bug in my CVS:

$ cvs --version
