Thank you for the fast response! I don't know the cause of
the sftp problem yet, but I've found out that I can login as
root with sftp on my own computer, but not on my own account
(from which I login)... Strange, but I'll look into that
later ;-) (I've already compared my system settings with a
Unix mainframe which is configured the right way.)

Normally it should be fine now.

sftp should be working but the person who set it up is very
busy. I tried to check sftp's configuration but it seems
complicated to me (the tricky part is the fact that it works
for some people and not for others).

Tell us if you have further trouble.
