Guido Amoruso <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: xml2ly - MusicXML to Lilypond converter
System name: xml2ly
Type: non-GNU
Description:
My project is to create a converter from MusicXML to Lilypond.
MusicXML is a new music notation/sound file format developed by Recordare and
distributed with a public licence similar to the W3C\'s ones: its aim is to be
an general and standard interchange format for musical application. I consider
it noteworthy and I think it is useful for Free Software programs to support it
in order to increase their own spread and communication possibilities.
My program is a set of XSLT stylesheet to transform MusicXML to Lilypond: I\'m
doing this as prototype, because my ultimate goal would be to permit a global
communication between Lilypond and other Free Software music natation programs
by MusicXML.
The project does not exist yet, but I\'m working on it.
Other Software Required:
any XSLT processor
