Robert Sullivan <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Feather Linux
System name: feather
Type: non-GNU

Description:
Feather Linux is a Knoppix 3.3 remaster which is 50Mb in size. It tries to have
a full suite of desktop applications; as of 0.2 it has: Kernel 2.4.22, Ted,
ABS, Dillo (patched for frames and tabs), XMMS, wavplay, mpg321, ogg123 and
other Ogg Vorbis tools, Sylpheed, axyFTP, emelFM, cdrecord, mkisofs, parted,
partimage, zile, nedit, nano, Xpaint, Xzgv, Xpdf, naim, CTorrent, VNCviewer,
SSH and SCP, DHCP client, xtdesktop, PPP and PPPoE support, the Monkey
webserver, Xcalc, Fluxbox, the XBase apps, and the various standard console and
system tools.

It is meant to be as easy-to-use as possible without sacrificing space, and it
should run quite quickly on older hardware. Hard drive installation is planned,
and it can already run completely in RAM. Feather Linux should run on nearly
all PCs, as it uses the XVesa and XFbdev servers, which will run on any PC with
a framebuffer or a VESA-compatible card. It also has hardware autodetection
identical to Knoppix's, making it easy for the user to begin as soon as
possible. Feather Linux does not have any releases available yet, although one
is ready and I can upload it as soon as possible.

Other Software Required:
No dependencies - it is a Linux distribution itself.
