Details:

This arose with address@hidden

The first time a CVS commit is made to a file in a non-HEAD branch,
lilypond-cvs receives a diff of the entire file (ie each line of the file is
+ foo
instead of a single line -bar / +foo diff)

The second time a patch is committed to that file, the correct diff is
generated and send to the mailing list.

Other possibly relevant history: lilypond recently branched a 2.6 version,
with HEAD being 2.7. I backported a few one-line patches, and lilypond-cvs
sent out a 126K email containing the whole files that I patched.
